THE 7 KEY INGREDIENTS IN A GOOD HEALTH PLAN
Staying
healthy is your responsibility. According to doctors Donald M. Vickery and
James F. Fries in their Book, “Take Care
of Yourself: The Complete Illustrated Guide to Medical Self-Care”, “You can
do much more than any doctor to maintain your health and well-being by getting
into the habit of health.” Getting into the habit of health requires a good
health plan. A good health plan “can prevent many nagging nonfatal health
problems such as hernias, back pain, varicose veins, and osteoporosis”. When
you develop the habit of health, “you can reduce the amount of illness you will
have in your life, and you will feel much better and have more energy. Good
health is its own reward.
Starting a
good health plan in order to develop the habit of health requires seven (7) key
ingredients. These include:
- Exercise
- Diet
- Not smoking
- Alcohol moderation
- Weight control
- Avoiding injury through common sense
- Professional prevention practices
In fact, you
may not need some of the ingredients to form part of your health plan. However,
a good knowledge of these ingredients will help you to plan well thus
developing a great habit of health.
I will provide you with brief
information on each of the seven (7) key ingredients in my subsequent posts. However,
I would like to encourage you to get a copy of “Take Care of Yourself: The Complete
Illustrated Guide to Medical Self-Care” written by doctors Donald M. Vickery
and James F. Fries. It contains basically all health tips you need in order to
take great care of yourself and family. Add it to you First Aid kit and library.
The knowledge in “Take Care of Yourself: The Complete Illustrated Guide to
Medical Self-Care” will reduce your health bills drastically.
